I just spent $103 on postage for invitations. I didn't even buy enough. I'll need more, but I figured that would be enough to start out. Sheesh.

What's nice though, the post office now offers wedding stamps. They're purple and greenish. Pretty! Much nicer than those plain American flag stamps. Did you know it costs $0.63 to send out a wedding invitation! Dang those heavy inserts and fancy cards! It's a good thing I love my invitations, or I'd be a little more bitter about it.

When I went to the post office earlier, I thought I would get everything done in one shot and apply for a new passport. I had my application all filled out and my passport photos cut to precision! I was so prepared! Or so I thought.... There I stood, beaming, ready to have one more thing done for the wedding, and the lady asked if I had my birth certificate.

Doh!

I knew I needed it. I also knew exactly where it was. It was sitting at home in drawer. So now I need to make another trip back to the post office.

Will it ever end?
